Kinda Tired
Got home on Friday, and there was Aileen on the porch waiting for me. She asked thta i get home a bit early for she had a birthday Surprise for me. Well I made it home by about 3:15. Walking into the foyer i noticed two packed bags and a cooler. She responded to my observation by “Let’s pack the car up we have a 3hr drive ahead of us. Intrigued and Excited I loaded the car up and our journey began. Three Hours later we arrived at our destination. Aileen had reserved a “rustic cabin” NW of Denver near Steamboat Springs. It was on some dirt road in the woods situated near The natural Hot Springs in the Area. It was wonderful surprise! We finally Had a weekend to ourselves. (No Work, No School no Nothing) And we could totally relax in the Cabin and in the Hot Springs. The Springs were nice. Several pools were there to choose from with varying temperatures. And since our cabin was reserved from the owners of the springs we were able to use them anytime from Sunrise till Midnight. The nights were the best, Only being lit by the moon and the stars we were able to totally relax, hiding from the cool mountain air. An interesting item to note, after dusk, the hot springs becomes “clothing Optional” so it is probably good that the lighting is minimal. During the times we weren’t in the Pool We managed to go a a hike near fish creek Falls (I think that is what it was called) and spend some time visiting Down Town Steamboat Springs. What a weekend wish it lasted longer!
