Storm

Did some skiing yesterday. It was pretty nice. For once there were no lines and on some runs Thigh Deep Powder! The Draw back was the 4hr drive home. Normally for me to get home from Copper Mountain It’s about an Hour and 15 Minute ride but with this huge storm that came in and gave us the lovely powder it also backed up traffic for miles. The Main hold up was the Eisenhower Tunnel which goes through the Continental Divide. To keep traffic from backing up in the tunnel and creating potentially deadly carbon monoxide fumes in the tunnel they we’re only letting a few vehicles through at a time. Along with the near whiteout conditions Traffic was pretty much at a stand still. People were leaving their cars fairly regularly to clean the ice and snow from the windshield wipers. At one point right before the Tunnel a car in the lane next to us was slammed into by a car infront of it that slid down the hill we were stuck on. It was insane!
