If you don’t have enough on your Desktop and want to clutter it with little “widgets” that do everything from display the current Weather to monitoring your Vonage minutes check outKonfabulator! Just recently configured to run on Windows machines It’s kind of cool. I guess the new “Tiger” Mac OS is going to have some sort of similar app. Some say they are stealing it from the Konfabulator folks, and people are arguing about who invented the “Dashboard” App you can check that discussion here.

A few weeks back I had to go make some purchases for the studio here at work. We have this thing called an “a” card. Essentially it’s a departmental credit card that we use to buy stuff, like the chargers I needed for the studio. Well while at Radio Shack the Clerk Gave me a hell of a time because I was not Patty (the woman whose signature is on the card, I forget her title here but she does accounting stuff i think.) Any way another coworker was with me at the time and just recently sent This to me, it’s pretty funny.

Occasionaly At Work i am forced to use Microsoft internet Explorer, which I’m not a fan of. BUt we utilize this sharepoint stuff (microsoft) that works much better in Explorer so 10% of my browser use at work is on IE. none the less I became a fan and snob of the Tabbed Browser feature that comes with Firefox There was arumor that by installing service pack 2 for Windows that you would get Tabbed browsing in IE… That is not the case. I ended up finding Avant Browser Which uses IE in the background. ITs a nice alternative to the IE Interface and has some pretty cool Tabbed features. You can group tabs etc etc They term their browser as “A tabbed browser with Flash Filter, Popup Stopper, Cleaner and Web Search” Anyway if you are forced to use IE try this out.
