Well first things FirstI stole this from mat’s Blog But It was pretty cool so… ANyways it Randomly grabs a word and displays images based off a google search with that word. You then have 20seconds to guess the word thatw as used in the search. Each Game last 10 rounds. I don’t think i lasted past round 7 because of the internet stalling or something. None the less check it out.
Second, Podscope was launched today. This looks to be A very interesting tool. Apparently by typing a word into the search it combs the actually audio content of Podcasts for that word or phrase. The search results then display information and a web based player. Dunno how it works and They certainly are not telling any one how it works either. they say it’s “Magic”
Been Busy catching up the last few days so I haven’t had much to post. But… If any of you are really bored and want to check out Second Life I think you should. One of the first Games? I have ever seen where you can pretty much do what ever you want. The premise of the game is totally up to you. It is absolutely Insane! and I have even seen the potential for this in Distance Ed which will be the basis for a presentation a colleague and myself will be giving in the summer at an educational technology Conference. Okay Folks This really doesn’t make sense but if you go to the USPS Postal Store and do a search for “priority boxes” several Priority mail shipping boxes display and are all available for free with free shipping. It looked like many of them you had to get in multiples of 25 but who’s complaining when they are free. I went there added a few to my cart and sure enough no charge. Jan ordered a bunch and she already received her email confirmation. Thanks for the tip Jan. So… Can anyone figure a reasoning behind this? Why would the Postal Service Give away free boxes?
