A few months ago Google aquired the Keyhole 3d mapping software. Here is the results. One of the few things google actually charges for (im sure they will have more services they charge for in the future.) But don’t fret there is a free version. Unfortunatly the software download has been down due to overwhelming popularity. As soon as I get my hands on it I’ll post my thoughts
Was released for download today with the much anticipated “Podcast” feature. I checked it out… Pretty cool. You can now browse and subscribe to thousands of podcast right in Itunes. Unfortunatly i don’t see much of a need for the Ipodder clients anymore. I think it’s going to bring podcasting to a whole new audience! Watch out!
Ohh and yeah Interstate 1002 is in their directory
So Here it is Google has their video site, I’ve seen this a bit but now the full service is available (still beta though) There is a browser plugin you can download that lets you watch the video that your search results display. I played with it a bit and it looks like only some of the video can be viewed. Another potentially cool feature is the ability to upload video to google video (looks like as much as you want for free!) and Google will convert it to a streaming file for anyone to view. Kind of like Our Media though I never could seem to get that to work. Anyway check out Google Video. What do you think?
Like I said when they got engaged… “it’s about time” Had a blast at the wedding Hope you guys are enjoying Jamacia.
Allright Being the huge Pumpkins fan that I am I can only hope something comes of this
This is the Article, Here is a link to the PDF (Yuck I hate PDFs) Of the Full front page ad he posted in the Chicago Tribune. I hope it isn’t some sort of publicity thing to promote his new solo album.
Well several reports are rising that Google has their version of PayPal ready to be lauched. They are’nt going to stop are they?
-thanks for the link Jan
Aileen and I picked up season passes for Six Flags Elitch Gardens, earlier this week and on Friday afternoon we got a chance to hit it up and check it out. All in all we had a great time but after mere minutes there we both felt very spoiled coming from Ohio. On top of being about the size of my parents backyard, their higher profile rides were mediocre at best. The real thrill at Ellitches is riding rides that look and feel as if they are falling apart. Being located downtown is cool, but it pretty much leaves no room for expansion. Apparently there is some ride where you lay down on your stomach and it is supposes to give you the feeling of flying but we saw it after we had left the park. Not a big deal because we have passes and we’ll probably be back. It’s certainly nothing like a Cedar Point, I would say it falls somewhere between a Geauga Lake and The Medina County Fair Minus the farm stuff.
I swer there has to be some sort of addicting ingredient in Cheetos. Does anyone have any idea if and what it may be?
Back in Vegas once again. 2nd time since April. But as many of you know this time its for work. I am attending the Educomm side to Infocomm this week. Much smoother trip than a few weeks ago going to Ohio. Some how I got seated next to the drunkest, loudest and most obnoxious guy on the plane. but to say the least he was entertaining and made the flight real short. When I did finally get to Vegas I rode the 9dollar round trip shuttle to the Beautiful Aladdin Hotel and Casino Resort what ever it’s called. Even though I had made a reservation over a month ago the room type I reserved was sold out so I was complimentarily upgraded to a larger room. Let me tell you, this room is larger than my apartment, I can’t believe it. Once I got there and admired the space i was going to call home for the next few days I changed washed up and headed to the Preconference reception at one of the Ballrooms in the Hilton. Unfortunatly I couldnt check in cause Igot there at 7:05PM and the “systems shut down promtly at 7:00Pm” This was all thanks to the monorail I rode over that broke down. Not a big deal i’ll just need to check in tomarrow morning ugh. The reception was nothing special, just a ton of people having cocktails and eating fingerfoods all night. There was a band playing pretty much disco songs all night and they also had an Elvis impersonator, a Marilyn Monroe impersonator and a couple show girls roaming the ballroom. It looks to be a busy day tomarrow. Time for some sleep.
I remember some years back, Winamp was my desktop audio player of choice. We made custom playlists for parties etc. The app was great. I had even made my own skin for it using a Mondrian Painting. At some point i just stopped using it. I’m not really sure why but newer version of Windows Media Player and now Itunes for my Ipod have taken over. Well, It was mentioned to me yesterday that the latest version of Winamp had alot of cool new features and associated plugins. One in particular that made the Ipod a readable device on Winamp. Hmmm Could I know longer be tied to one Computer with my Ipod? For any of you Ipod Users out there you know what I mean. Apple has your Ipod pretty locked down only allowing you to connect and move music to your pod from on computer. My big dilema with that is that i’d love to have my music on my home computer as well as my work computer. There are other apps that say you can do this but from what I have heard the success is not 100% For some reason this winamp solution seemed promising to me. SO I decided to give it a shot. And Damn! It worked. After Installing Winamp and the Ml_iPOD Plugin I was able to connect my Ipod to my work computer Play songs through winamp from my Ipod and move music from the Ipod to My computer. I am totally Stoaked about this. Some additional features with this new Winamp include the ability to watch Internet Tv and Of course the skins available for download and the colorschemes that already come with it. Tons of new features make this an awesome app. I will definatly use it at work primarily for moving stuff from my Ipod to my work computer. Will it once again become my default media player for my desktop? Who knows…
Thanks Travis for this one. I know all of you have gotten at least one spam email. Well this site takes the subject line from these spam emails and pairs them up with poorly drawn cartoons. My favs are “Hola” and “Ive never seen such a fox“
Been trying to get back on track with some of the music out there, Here is my short take on the current state.. I suppose and my recent purchase of the Self titled album by The Bravery:

This was taken from an email I sent to a friend:
“…Anyway I got that album by the Bravery… About Half of it is good It’s so New Order, the other is average. infact that’s the problem with most fof the indie stuff I’ve been hearing lately it’s just average, nothing stands out. It either sounds like the strokes, Franz Ferdinand or some sort of mesh. I keep going back and just listening to the Cure NewOrder and the Smiths, Oh And I absolutely hate the Killers!”
