We’ll we’ve been in Ohio for almost a week now and it has been 100% non stop. Every day we’ve been in the car driving from one place to another. Mostly back and forth from Strongsville to Litchfield. It’s been a great time and I don’t want it to end. I wish we had more time we ahven’t even cracked the surface of all the things we have wanted to do and people we have wanted to see. Oh well, still a few more days and we’ll squezze as much as we can into it.
It’s sunny and 62 here in Denver today. Not quite what I’m used to on the first day of Winter. In fact I don’t think I’ll ever get used to the weather here.
Well, I’m checking out a new firefox extension that allows me to Post to the blog straight from Firefox. If this post goes through, I will say sweeet! and you will go here to get the plugin to post to your own blog via firefox.

It’s been a busy week trying to get all my xmas shopping down and staying on top of PCN Development. We’ve had an onslaught of applications for new podcasts so it’s been a process of getting them all set up. Along with further development and other related projects sometimes I have to remember to come up for air. Oh and as i mentioned xmas presents. I’m a little over half done but still need to find some key Items. This time of the year certainly keeps ya busy but I love it. A week from today we will be on the road towards “The heart of it all” Ohio!!!!
I have been using My Yahoo as my home page for probably 7 or 8 years now. One of the sections I have in My Yahoo is something they call Daily Picks. Every day this module is updated with 3 interesting, quirky, cool websites. Usually they do a pretty good job and every once in a while they come up with a real winner. That was certainly the case last night as i was checking Yahoo’s daily Picks.
www.pandora.com
you have to Check it out.
I was having a mind freeze when trying to describe Pandora so here is what they say “Pandoraâ„¢ is the doorway to this vast trove of musical information. With Pandora you can explore to your heart’s content. Just drop the name of one of your favorite songs or artists into Pandora and let the Genome Project go. It will quickly scan its entire world of analyzed music, almost a century of popular recordings - new and old, well known and completely obscure - to find songs with interesting musical similarities to your choice. Then sit back and enjoy as it creates a listening experience full of current and soon-to-be favorite songs for you.”
… and thats pretty much what it does… all through a pretty slick flash interface. You can rate songs, remove songs and create up to a hundred personalized stations…
There is a free ad driven version and a subscription version.
I’m a pretty avid user of Yahoo Launch Cast infact, I am classified as a Fanatic (2,589 total ratings) So the first thing I started thinking was a comparison to between the two. Personally I think Pandora has done to 300,000 songs what I have done to 2,589 unfortunatly Pandora and I have different thoughts about music and I can see this as it plays a station. But I do have the ability to influence the stations I have created in Pandora much as I do in yahoo. I don;t think its quite up to Yahoo Launch cast but is really cool the y way it works and most certainly am going to spend some time with it… Gawd I love technology!
Yeah, you may have seen it on the news, or you may have experienced it your self… There is a cold spell in Denver right now. It was -5 this morning when I walked to work. I guess the windchill was like -25 or something. But I was properly layered that included a wool sweater, long underwear and a warm winter coat. So the walk wasn’t that bad, though my cheeks were a bit chilled. Currently it is 2 outside and I don’t anticipate it getting much warmer in the next two hours for my walk home. Though if it gets any colder I may need to break into my ski stuff.
