I would have to say about 97% of the times I travel to and from work it’s on foot. Total travel time each way is about 30 min. It’s not a bad walk and i really have never minded it. It also saves me money on gas, parking fees as well as wear and tear on my car. Also it’s a much more healthy addition to my lifestyle. Today i had to drive for several reason one being that I have a doctors appointment (physical) this afternoon. SO my 30 min walk became a 20 minute hassle. In that short distance I became very angry and agitated all due to morning traffic. By the time I got out of the car I was in a bad mood! Living in Ohio I drove to work everyday depending on where I lived it was anywhere from a 5 - 25 min drive.Sure I had to deal with the same morning traffic but I think because I did it everyday, the madness of the morning commute did not even phase me.One downfall to the walk, I havn’t been running as much. I also need to find a good pair of shoes to walk to work in. My current ones aren’t doing the trick. But i’m certainly in a better mood every morning. Who’d a thunk it?

I am slowly settling into the world of verizon and a non-Windows Mobile device. My biggest concern right now is getting my contact, calendar etc from Outlook onto my device. .There are several options at this point I just need to figure which I decide on. None the less I haveing fun with the phone. The camera is great. I have uploaded a few pics to Flickr. I’m sure iIwill be posting more up there. This thing is going to be alot of fun… Yesterday after work I managed to get up to the sprint store to cancel my “trial” account and return the crappy free phone associated with it. On the way back i had relaized that within a span of a week (actually less than a week) I was with three different providers…Cingular (wed - Sat) Sprint (sat - Monday) and Verizon (Mon - who knows) gawd I’m such a geek sometimes.
Well…Part 2 on the phone situtaion. My search on Saturday pretty much found nothing. I’ve decided that spending 4 hundred bucks for a phone is just too much. I like internet speeds offered by the EVDO based networks which limits me to Sprint and Verizon, both which have fairly poor phone selection. It’s funny every phone / provider etc seems to be missing something. Nothing out there is exactly what i want… maybe I just demand too much outta things. Anyway I bought some time, by getting a trial (14Day) account and a crappy free phone through sprint. In the meantime I have been searching for the phone closest to what I want. I’m going to check out the LG VX9800 with verizon, This may be the one….
It looks like my billing period with Cingular ends on the 26th so…. I’m 90% sure I will not be staying with cingular (though I never chose to be with them in the first place. That gives me 6 days to find a new device and provider. To most that seems like no problem. Well the problem is I would love to find a Windows based smartphone with a keyboard and more than likely with Sprint. Why sprint? well, they are not my favorite provider but they have by far the cheapest and fastest internet plan. 15 - 20 bucks compared to 40 - 60 with all other carriers. There is pretty much one phone the sprint 6700 orwhat ever its called. Though I’m willing to shell out 600 bones for the S.O.B so… the hunt will begin… Am I willing to convert to another OS? Sure, as long as it has the features I want and need like the ability to sync up with an exchange server etc. I think saturday will be phone search day too bad mat will be stuck at his house waiting for his window to get repaired cause I know he’d rather be out shopping for phones…
So I dropped my phone last night….. It pretty much killed it. The screen has become completely unreadable and it doesn’t look like it can handle much input from the keypad. This is sort of a crappy situation, I was hoping to hold out one more month till I got back on track from the expensive Dec and Jan (holidays) Not sure what to do at this point. Anyway… if anyone reads this just beware I can accept calls, but if I miss the call I will have no way of knowing. Hopefully I will have this resolved by early next week.
arghhhh!
Pretty much since I have moved to Denver people are saying … “you have to ski Vail, It’s amazing!” I finally had the chance to go up this afternoon. My friend Kevin was in town and had kept saying that we needed to go to Vail. So it was decided and talked about much this past week. When I told people this was my first time uo there they just kinda looked at me in great shock and admiration. So either this place was overhyped or it was the real deal. And after a good 6hr stint there this afternoon, It is the real Deal. Amazing. We had perfect snow and had perfect runs and it was a beautfully sunny day. We couldn’t ask for a better friday the 13th… Just dont ask Kevin about his lift ticket. I can’t wait till i go back to Vail. It’s Huge!
Kevin has been here all week so between work and sleep I have been trying to squeeze in some skiing. We hit up Breck on Friday. Finally got to check out the runs up off the imperial Lift… Awesome! A-basin on Sunday where we were greeted by 6 frsh inches… It snowed all day.. No complaints there. I think we may venture out to Vail on Friday…
Cool Idea for a store… of course none in Denver
Has anyone been here?

I had finished dinner last night and was craving something sweet. Luckily for me there were some left over cookies I made three weeks ago. We had left them on the table before we left for Ohio. They were the kind with the Kisses in the middle. Cookies don’t go bad… do they? Well about 60min later my stomach was in some serious pain. In fact it sucked real bad. on top of this, my friend Kevin was flying in and I had to pick him up at about midnight, It was orginally suppose to be at 10:30 but weather changed all that. I decided to grab a quick nap and Aileen so kindly voluteered to run to the store to pick up some pepto bismol. I woke up still in pain and truged my self to the 45 min waiting area near the airport. I over stayed that wait an hour as Kevins flight never got in untill 1:30am Another delay with his luggage I finally picked him up after 2 and got home around 3am…needless to say most of the pain was gone by them. I’m not convinced itwas the cookies but none the less it sucked So the moral of this story: Don’t eat old cookies, and if you do Just take some Pepto Bismol and Go sit in a car for 2hrs
This article is almost exactly what I’ve been thinking. And the Google cube? That could be cool. Most people know i’m all about the thin client.

After a 19hr drive we got back into Denver around 530am mountain time. Kansas was very windy. Miss P was happy to see us. ‘
Took a nap, woke up at around 10am and am now playing around with that My Space Site. I read an article about it back in ohio. News Corp (fox) bought it for over 50million bucks! So of course I was intrigued. I need to mess with it and see what it is all about. You can find me at: http://www.myspace.com/knighthawkjavelin
