Isuzu put together some promo for their Gemini car back in the ’80s. As Autoblog had stated, CG was crappy in the ’80s so those stunts are more than likely real.

Several years ago my friend Kevin had a brand new crock pot that he had stored in his attic. It may have been a wedding gift but I am not sure. Eventually a situation rose where he needed to use it. Upon digging it out of the attic he found a dead mole inside it. I guess it had disgusted him and he could not use the crock pot because of that. He tells me the story and of course I’m like “dude I’ll take it, all you need to do is clean it, hell I’m sure there are plenty of rednecks out there that use their crock pots to cook mole. Its certainly not going to hurt ya.” So I got a brand new crockpot he did remove the moel and clean it though I cleaned it again and it was good to go. The thing is I barely used it. Occasionly at a party for sloppy joes or something but that was it. Ironically at one party I used it to make sloppy Joes and Kevin unknowingly had two servings I’ve since told him. Anyway, My frien Mat was telling me how he uses it to cook Brats and sauerkraut etc etc,”yeah i throw the stuff in the morning and when I come home its ready to go and i have enough for a few days. Despite growing up eating dinner upon dinner from a crock pot I never thought to use it in this manner and conluded with Mat, this is a great idea. So this weekend at a local market I picked up some fresh brats from teh Deli along with some kraut. Yesterday morning i threw the kraut, brats, two cut up potatoes and some of my home brewed beer (porter) into the crock pot turned it on low and left for work. It was a long tedious day of work and my lunch consisted of but some left over pad thai from the night before. So I was starving and eagerly awaiting my slowcooked surprise. During the walk home I saw a Helicopter hovering what looked to be directly over my place, the first thing that came to my mind was that the dog got curious at the smell from the crock pot, tipped it over and some how started the place on fire. Actually it was a scary thought but I was soon relieved when I realized my judgement of distance was way off. Walking in the house it smelled awesome. Guess what? It was awesome! I wanted to eat the whole thing. The potatoes were perfect and the brats had all fallin apart creating a perfect eastern european stew of some sort. Guess what i got for lunch?

Sick again with another Colorado Cold. I just figured out what this is all about. I have not gotten so many colds since I have moved to Colorado and i think i finally know why. It’s the wacky weather. one day its 60 the next 25 My body is certainly not used to this. Hopefully soon I’ll adapt but jeez, I just had a cold last month just like that. Apparently “something” is going around but I dunno. Colorado Natives… are you getting these colds?

Well either I have been busy or have had nothing to say. In this case it’s probably been a little bit of both. None the less I’m still alive. If there are some gaps between postings here you may be able to figure out what’s going on in my head by checking out my del.ic.ious tags found here

I went in for a physical yesterday afternoon. It had been 3 years or so since my last one so I figured I was due. Plus my psoriasis on my scalp has been increasingly intense lately, so I figured maybe the dr could prescribe me something for it. Everything turned out good. I am healthy and apparently have good blood pressure. The nurse who had taken down my weight and  blood pressure seemed shocked at my pressure when she read it aloud. “100 over 70, that’s really good” Of course my response was… something to the tone of “It is?” she then asked how active I was and I told her about hockey and my walking to work etc. They took some blood for tests (Cholesterol etc) and I should see those results in a few days. I was also given a new topical solution for the psoriasis on my scalp.. we’ll see if it works…
