According to their official site, the Smashing Pumpkins are back in the studio for the first time since 2000. Rumor is it is all the orginal members except for D’arcy. Apparently Eric Avery (janes addiction) will be on Bass Duties. http://www.smashingpumpkins.com/
This is by far the best tasting hot dog stand in all of Denver. Biker Jim offers up a diverse selection of unusual sausages from around the World. I walked by it for months staring at the menu always saying to my self “hmmm” Finally last week I made it down.I asked him to suggest something and he said how bout this and offered me bite size pieces of several sausages to sample. I ended up getting the Spicy Buffalo and today I had the Jalepeno Cheddar Elk Sausage. Totally amazing!. He grills them as you order them so nothing is sitting on heat rollers or in water. All the fixins including bbq sauce, sour cream shredded cheese and sauerkraut. They guy is fun to talk to and always upbeat jammin to classic rock from his xm boombox. Both times Ive been there there’s been a line and both times people have said that they have gone outta their way to come here. Apparently he has authentic imported German veal brats, which i need to try along with something called the German Red. What am i kidding I’m gonna try em all!
Well, I have a little bit of time before I leave for work….. How rare is that? I’m taking the bike to work today so that cuts about 20 min or so off my commute. Much ofthis past weekend was spent riding around, working out the kinks of the bike. It seems to run fairly well (for a ‘69) Got caught in a quick but brief downpour last night but, theres nothing wrong with getting a little wet now is there? I’d like to pick up a new battery and sparkplug for the thing but that might have to wait till Wednesday or so. It also needs a new seat… the leapord print is killing me.
I drove up to Louisville (CO) last night and checked out a little bike I was eyeing for the last few days. It was a good price and if it was in as good of shape as it looked like it was and ran well, I was going to pick it up. Sure enough it met those criteria and I left a deposit with the guy last night. I plan to head back tonight with Julia’s Van (thanks Julia) to pick it up. I’m pretty excited. It’s a 1969 Honda CM91, Part of the Cub series Honda debuted about a decade prior. It’s pretty much considered the Volkswagon beetle of Motorcycles so, it is a classic. As far as power, it doesn’t have much. A 90 cc engine puts it right in the middle between our other scooters. (The Metropolitan being 50cc and the Stella being 200cc) None the less, it’s exactly what I was looking for to get around town and save a few bucks on gas. I can’t wait.

Being busy always seems to get in the way of things. Especially posting to my unread blog. But it has all been a good kind of busy. I managed to spend the last 5 days in rainy Ohio for My sis’s graduation, Mom’s Bday and mothers day. Despite the rain we even managed to sit through a Tribe Game. . It was great time and I was sad to leave. There was no time for rest either. I flew in Tuesday morning only to head straight to work to do final prep on our Spring Symposium. It was great turnout for that which occured yesterday. I some how presented three times and was still standing afterwards. needless to say I slept very well last night. Tonight i’m planning to take a ride up to Louisville to check out a ‘69 honda supercub. Would love to have an alternative to the walk to work. Just in case
Well, due to the interest of Second Life in the world of podcasting suddenly, I have once again immersed myself into the virtual worl. And yet again I am spending quite some time in it. Everyone has their own reason for their SL addiction, for me its the creativity. When I’m there all I want to do is build create, design etc. It would be scary if I ahd more free time on my hands.
According to this article, Google is informally complaining to govts about the new Microsoft browser because of it’s a search box and by default the search utilizing MSN. Well of course they are going to use their own search engine. Come on Google! When I log into Gmail I don’t see an option to use Yahoo for my searches. Your doing the same thing. Plus, The infamous Firefox Browser uses Google as its default search. So quit your whining. Besides in the new IE you can easily swich the search engine in that box. It took me less than a minute to make Google My default search engine in the new IE. Anyway, I’m not plugging the new IE by any means, I’m still a firefox user, I’m just shocked at google acting like this. Though I guess when one gains a lot of power they like to flex their muscles.
An estimated 75,000 people marching today in downtown Denver taking part in “A Day Without Immigrants” march. Quite a site for sure.
